Trio91 – it’s all in the name!
3 friends, born ’91, playing trio.
Violin, piano and cello. Yong-Min Lee, Thomas Rudberg and Erik Uusijärvi. 3 youngsters who grew up together, discovering a passion for chamber music. In Nov. 2008 they decide to form a piano trio – Trio91 is born.
During all their years at the Junior Music Academy Lilla Akademien, they got plenty of opportunity to practice and get guidance of the best teachers one can dream of at that age. It took them further to the Royal College of Music in Stockholm where they now study for prof. Lundberg, Enoksson, Thedéen, Zetterquist and Scheja.
Trio91′s repertoire stretches from Haydn over Beethoven and Mendelssohn to Shostakovitch and living composers.
Trio91 has participated in a few competitions. In 2009 they won the nationwide music competition for young ensembles organized by RUM, as well as the chamber music prize, organized by Rikskonserter and Jeunesses Musicales. They were selected into international chamber music competitions such as Trondheim (2011) and Joseph Haydn Vienna (2012).
Trio91 has performed on various Swedish concert scenes, i.e. Berwaldhallen, Stockholm Concert Hall-Grünewaldsalen, Nybrokajen11, Royal Palace, Uppsala Concert Hall. During the Swedish EU Presidency in 2009, Trio91 had the opportunity to perform on several occasions in Belgium.
Trio91was broadcasted on the Swedish national TV in Veckans Konsert (Concert of the Week) and has been invited to chamber music courses such as the international Musica Mundi Belgium and Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Summer 2012 in its international Rising Stars series “Junge Elite”.
